In a simple but powerful act of kindness, Clint Millar — the owner of Brisbane’s Strictly BMX, made one young local’s dream come true at Runaway Bay skatepark. Clint was out filming with friends when he noticed a determined young rider on a beat-up girls bike carving around the park. A week later, the same kid was back, jumping the spine with confidence.
Struck by the kid’s dedication, Clint started a conversation. Kaeden told him he bought the bike for $3 from the tip shop and that his proper BMX was at his dad’s place, meaning he couldn’t ride it while staying with his mum.
“I said to meet me here next weekend and I’ll hook you up with a bike,” Clint wrote in a post that’s since gained traction on a local Facebook Community Group.
True to his word, Clint returned with a brand-new Division Reark BMX. The the stoked smile on Kaeden’s face said it all.

“Not all heroes wear capes. Some ride bikes. Thank you for being a great human.”
– Erik Fogt
The local community reacts:

“That was a really cool thing to do. That’s what I love about BMX – everyone is so encouraging.” – Art You Serious
“2 legends in 1 pic 👊. That’s a core memory he’ll have forever.” – Kieran Brennan
“Legend, I’m sure he will remember this forever.” – Tim Dawson
“Need more people like you 🙌.” – Nick Sutic
Even Kaeden himself chimed in by commenting:
- “Thank you so much Clint for the bike. I’ve gotten some progress on it already. Have a good night.” – Kaeden
Why it matters
In a world where small gestures are often overlooked, this moment stood out for something much greater. It reflected the spirit of generosity and support that still lives in our local communities. It's proof that one person, with a good heart, can make a lasting impact.
As the founder of The Gold Coast Torch, I carry the responsibility of shining a light on the tough stories — the crime, the injustice, and the things many would rather ignore. It can be grim at times, to say the least. That’s why stories like this warm the heart. They remind us that good people are out there, quietly making a difference. At The Gold Coast Torch, we’re proud to celebrate locals like Clint who show us what real community spirit looks like.
